When to say these words?

How often do you say thank you? What are the things or happenings in your life that you say thank you in return? To whom do you utter these precious words?

Thank you seems an easy thing to say. We hear it from time to time and wherever we go (grocery, bookstore, office, school, etc.) people say this. It's actually a common phrase.

Thank you for coming, for calling, for listening, for joining, for taking care of, for choosing, and many more. There are lots of reasons to say thank you.

Even with kiddie videos, there are songs, teaching the kids to say thank you.

"Thank you is what you say when someone does something nice for you today." - Eli Kids

"When you get something you want, what's the magic word? Hmmmm. Thank you, thank you, thank you." - Coco Melon

(If you are a mom or certified Tita/Tito's of Manila, for sure you sing these songs while reading! Haha!)

Actually, the reason why I am sharing this topic is because of the K-drama I have recently been watching. I am not done with it yet and I'm not sure when to finish it. Haha.

The main girl character was asked by the boy main character (Hmmm, it seems like I'm telling blind items here, LOL, the Who??) what was her dream job? Then the girl said she wanted to work in the Lost and Found Center in a train station. Why? Here's her exact words:

"Because people always say something to you, whenever you find something for them. (What?) They always thank you. Throughout my life, I've always had people apologizes to me and people say "I love you" very easily. But for some strange reason, no one ever thank me. No one says "thank you". But that person is like an angel and a savior at the Lost and Found Center. She finds your cellphone, your baby's doll, and the side dishes you packed for your son and his wife. Just like now, people thank her over and over again. I can't imagine how great that must feel."

Well, yes, it's just a drama series, a fiction, a story, but there might be someone who's feeling the same as that girl. I feel very bad for her when I watched this. :(

Saying thank you is really easy, but the sad reality is that: (1) sometimes it's not sincere (2) we forget to say these to the right persons, to the persons whom we are supposed to say thank you.

I realized that "Thank you" can have a big impact to us, to people.

  • It lightens one's mood.
  • It encourages you to work harder and live happier.
  • It gives self fulfillment.
  • It makes you feel appreciated.

Thank you and Sincerity should come together.
Whenever you will say "thank you" especially to the persons who had helped you a lot, say it with sincerity.

Have you forgotten to say thank you nowadays?
Start it now, give thanks to God for this reminder.

Thank God for another breath, for another day, for another life. Thank Him for all the blessings, for all the trials that He is allowing, thank Him for the strength, for all the answered prayers, thank Him for everything.

I want to share this song from Don Moen. Whenever I just want to express my gratitude to God, I will include this song to my lineup (Church Service).

The lyrics explain the reason why :)

Next express your gratitude, your warm and heartfelt thank you to your loved ones, your husband/wife, your family, most especially to your parents. Say it now! Go! They all deserved to hear these words!
Thank your spouse for the patience.
Thank your kids for making you happy.
Thank your parents for the love and unending support.
Thank your entire fam bam for the hi's and hello's!
Thank your friends too! For being supportive with your online business :)

Again, even in small things say thank you.
Thank the person who will make "abot" your "bayad" to the driver in jeepneys/UV (next time, when everything will be back to normal, let's pray together! 🙏)
Thank the front-liners, medical reps, FO's, FA's, even our barangay tanods around.
Thank the guard who will open and close the door for you, who will do temp check, and spray some alcohol in your hands.
Thank the man who will deliver every food you order in your door steps.
Thank the cashier and the bagger in the grocery stores.
Thank them all.
Though they never asked, they deserved one.

We must learn the attitude of being grateful in all things. Whatever it is, be grateful. Even in small things, be thankful.

And now my time to say thank you!
Thank you for your time reading this. Even if my thoughts are kinda rumbled here, you managed to finish reading!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

PS: If you have more spare time, please watch this :)

What is Missing?

Prayer is an essential thing to people who believes in Jesus. It is our 24/7 connection with the Lord. Many refer prayer as our lifeline to heaven. We pray because we want to talk to God. During our childhood days, we often pray to ask God for something. For teens/youth, it's like talking to their best friend, telling God, everything they encountered and even praying for the so-called "the one" 😉. We pray to thank God for all the blessings we are receiving. But often times we pray to ask. We pray for our needs. We pray to ask guidance for all the decisions we need to make. We pray for good health and His protection.  Many of us wonder why our longstanding prayers seem "unanswered" that makes us think God is not hearing us. Sometimes there will come a point that we tend to stop praying for it, either you accept that you get a "NO" from God or you gets tired of praying. Questions keep running our head, bothers us, faith is being shaken that we often jum...
Hello there! 💕 It’s been almost 4 months now, and we are still in Community Quarantine due to this pandemic. The world is facing a hard time fighting this unseen virus, but we must not lose hope for there’s a rainbow 🌈 always  after the rain! Above all, we have a Great God that is in control 🙏.   With the lockdowns going, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what to do during this pandemic; as a mom, as a wife or just simply as “ Myself ”. I want to do something meaningful; I want to end the fear, the anxiety, the boredom; I want to create something that will express myself. Way back 2019, after giving birth to my baby Brielle, I started filming myself, talking to my phone camera, recording stuff that I think I might use someday (the day I will do my own YT channel! Haha!). But I was not able to pursue it because of the following reasons: I am not ready, I have limited resources, I am not artistic, I am not “videogenic” and of course, I am busy attending to my newborn b...

The day I officially became a Momma!

Hello there  💗 ! As I was playing with my baby Brielle today, I was reminded of the time I gave birth to her. It just came to my mind out of nowhere. Maybe because seeing how big she is now and the milestones she's showing us, I'm kinda amazed. How time flies really fast! And made me reminisce those days. A very roller coaster experience for a first time preggy wife. :) Brielle @ 13 months So lemme share you the painful (literally) but one of the happiest times of my life - giving birth to Brielle Margaux. I wanted to share this because I was not able to testify this in our church. I really wanted to, but no chance. So maybe, this is the right time. 😘 Disclaimer:  This may not be an interesting topic for you, but I want to share how God really blessed, protected and showed His love to us during that big day of mine. God plans everything. This is the first lesson I learned. We're told that my expected delivery will be on June 2 (that is when Brielle is just 5 mon...
